Matthew 3:11-17
In the beginning of chapter 3 of Matthew, John the Baptist was preaching the message of repentance & was baptizing those confessing their sins.
(11) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance; but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear; he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: (12)Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (13)Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. (14)But John forbad him, saying I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? (15)And Jesus answering said, "Suffer it to be so now for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness." Then he suffered him. (16)And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water and lo the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: (17)And lo a voice from heaven saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
I can't imagine how John must have felt to be in the presence of Christ, then the honor of baptizing him. To witness the Holy Spirit magnified in Jesus Christ! What a humbling reading.
I pray that all I do daily would be pleasing to my heavenly father!

Geneology....of Christ
God Bless you & Good Morning,
I had a revelation last night to start fresh anew with the New Testament.
The book of Matthew, chapter 1. In verses 1-16 is the earthly geneology of Christ. Continuing with 17-25:(17)So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
(18)Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.(19)Then Joseph her husband being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
(20)But while he though on these things behold the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying: Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.(21)And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.(22)Now all this was done, that if might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying.(23)Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.(24)Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:(25)And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Many years ago, when I was in school, we were asked to complete a "Family Tree". For me I had 2 families: my adopted family & my birth family. Of course at that time I didn't know very much about my birth family, so I completed it on my adopted family. I was always curious about my birth parents, but was always told I was special because I was "chosen" to be adopted.
Mary was chosen to give birth to Jesus, who was sent to save us from our sins. We are adopted into the family of Christ, through our repentance of sins, and our faith and belief in Jesus Christ. We are all special, chosen, brothers & sisters of Christ!
Allelujah! What a geneology we have!
Praise the Lord!
